This presentation will provide an overview of the concept of implicit bias and its relationship to problem and compulsive gambling in Minnesota and its impact on the legal profession. One in three adults in Minnesota either has or knows someone who has or had a gambling problem. This presentation will cite demographics of our population and focus on the state of gambling addictions. There will be an overview of Minnesota’s response to the problem in the way of providing awareness of the condition, prevention efforts and treatment resources around the state.
