The Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association (MDLA) is pleased to announce registration for Trial Techniques Seminar on August 15-17, 2019 in Duluth, Minnesota is now open! This year’s theme is “Trust the Process: Strategies for Winning Before, During and After Trial.”

In addition to time spent on quality education, we are looking forward to some quality friends and family time. Please join your peers and their families on Friday, August 16 for a reception at Hoops Brewery in Canal Park. We will have some kid friendly entertainment options available – so feel free to bring the whole family!

Registration Rates

Registration fee includes access to all sessions, welcome reception, breakfasts, lunch at the Annual Meeting, refreshment breaks and CLE Credits.

MDLA Community Service Project:  School Supply Drive for the Championship Belt

As part of our continued community service efforts, MDLA will be collecting school supplies (and cash donations to purchase school supplies) for in-need Minnesota students and classrooms at the Trial Tactics Seminar.  Supplies most needed are crayons, notebooks, glue sticks, pencils, markers, and pens.  The firm raising the most money and/or collecting the most donations will be recognized with the Community Service Project Award (and will receive the coveted Championship Belt)!  Please contact Elizabeth Brotten ( or Molly de la Vega ( with questions.
